Farewell to Former President Muhammadu Buhari
On this very day(15th July, 2025), Nigeria as a nation bids a solemn farewell to former President Muhammadu Buhari. The Federal Government of Nigeria gave a public holiday today in order to pay last respect to the former President whose corpse was brought back from London, England to his home town Daura, Katsina state. The burial was attended by a galaxy of dignitaries with the likes of President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, former Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai, Rotimi Amaechi, Atiku Abubakar and other political heavyweights who all gathered to pay their last respects.
His family members, close friends and others who had good relationships with him when he was alive including those that served under him when he was the President were all crying out tears and could not hold back from saying how much they will continue to miss the late Buhari. Death is a necessary end for every one of us, no one will live on this earth forever.
Therefore, now that we are alive, we should live a good life and leave a great legacy that will continue to speak good of our names when we die and no longer here.
Rest in peace former President Buhari. It is also worthy to thank President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Shettima for how they stood strong to see that the burial of late Buhari was well taken care of by the Federal Government.
