What Is Your Opinion of Them That Make Such Statements?

Many times, we have seen and heard some men and some women beat their chests and say they don’t need their opposite sex for anything including marriage. What could possibly make a man say that he does not want any woman for friendship or relationship or marriage? What could also have made a woman to seriously believe that she does not need any man in her life for relationship or marriage? Could it be traced back to past hurt, betrayal, abuse, heartbreak etc or could it be the decision they made for themselves because they feel that having the opposite sex in their lives will not add any value and growth to them?
